Would the document be considered an original, if it has been signed and then printed?

It’s important to note that the electronic signature is performed on your digital document that is in a PDF format.

Only this PDF is considered as an original and has legal value.
Any electronic copy of the signed document is also an original if it has not been altered.

If you want to print out your electronically signed document, you will have a duplicate. This duplicate has no legal value.

As a reminder, the image on the document is "cosmetic". It shows the consent of the signatory but has no legal value. It is the electronic certificate attached to the PDF document that certifies the signature.

Therefore, if you need to provide an original, the electronically signed PDF document should be sent.
