When you open a signed PDF document using Adobe Acrobat Reader, the following message may appear:
This message is normal, it simply indicates that Acrobat Reader cannot certify the validity of the signatures completed on Yousign.
However, all of the signatures completed on Yousign are valid and are legally recognised.
To stop this message from being displaying, all you need to do is update the trusted lists in Acrobat Reader. You can do this by following the steps below:
- Click on "Edit" and then "Preferences..."
- Select "Trust manager" from the list
- Update the Adobe Approved Trust List (AATL) and the European Union Trusted List (EUTL)
- The procedure is now complete! Well done! Close Acrobat Reader and open the document again: you will notice that the signature is now recognised in Acrobat Reader!
